Big Thanks !

I'd like to give a big thanks to Nicki and her Mum (who was married to Steve) for getting in touch and kindly sending me the following great pictures :-

Great colour pic.....

Nice action shot.....

These certainly give me a bit more to work on  !

The ex Steve Machin 350 Yamaha TR2B as arrived.
Note water cooled barrels and Dunstall front end....

Old pictures...

Above shows Steve Machin in action on the TR2. Note how big the bike looks, as Steve was particularly small....

I'm told this shot shows the start of a Transatlantic Race at Mallory Park circa 1972. Machine is number 28.

Another historic Yamaha in need of bringing back to life has materialized.... This time it's a TR2 special built and raced by the late Steve Machin, multi British Champion and innovative bike builder.

Features of this bike include a special frame, Dunstall forks with disk brakes (like the Phil Read TR2) and water cooling.

The bikes engine number also gives a clue to the bikes builders... SMB101

SAUNDERS MACHIN BRIGGS

I am looking for any picutres of the bike in action, so if you have any of Machin in circa 1971-73, please drop me a line...
